HISTORY OF LICEO DE SABANILLAS DE ACOSTA

El Liceo de Sabanillas fue fundado en el mes de Marzo del año 1997, institución que iba dirigida en un principio hacia la comunidad de Palmichal de Acosta, pero por ser Sabanillas una comunidad alejada de los centros educativos existentes ( Acosta o Parrita) y se contaba con una población de adolescentes, con gran necesidad de seguir sus estudios y así mejorar su calidad de vida, se aunaron esfuerzos para hacer realidad el poner en marcha el funcionamiento del Liceo el cual nació como Unidad Pedagógica que aunque no se contaban con instalaciones adecuadas se inició.

Como ya se mencionó al inicio de labores no se contaba con las instalaciones para impartir lecciones, los tres primeros grupos iniciales de sétimo nivel, recibían lecciones en la local propiedad de la Asociación de Desarrollo Integral de Sabanillas, situado 200 metros al sur de lo que hoy es el Liceo. De comedor se utilizó un espacio de la escuela Matías Camacho con lo cual se arrancó el curso lectivo 1997.

As already mentioned at the beginning of the work, there were no facilities to give lessons, the first three initial groups of seventh level received lessons in the premises owned by the Integral Development Association of Sabanillas, located 200 meters south of what today is the Liceo. A space at the Matías Camacho school was used as a dining room, with which the 1997 school year began.

Poco tiempo después se construyeron cinco aulas, un comedor estudiantil y una batería sanitaria, además se adecuó una de las aulas para el área administrativa. A partir del año 2001 con una partida específica del Gobierno se logró construir las oficinas administrativas, una sala para la biblioteca, el comedor estudiantil, la casa de la dirección, un centro de cómputo y un aula nueva.

Shortly after, five classrooms, a student dining room and a sanitary battery were built, in addition one of the classrooms was adapted for the administrative area. Starting in 2001, with a specific government budget, it was possible to build the administrative offices, a room for the library, the student dining room, the management house, a computer center and a new classroom.

Como punto alto en la existencia de esta institución debemos destacar personajes como: Luís Duran Diputado de gobierno en ese momento, el cual fue el gestor y creador de dicha institución; Rigoberto Godínez que laboraba para la fuerza pública y fiel colaborador, Olivier Godínez Hidalgo, quien vendió el terreno para la construcción; Gilberto Mora Chinchilla, luchador para que esta institución fuera ubicada en la comunidad de Sabanas.

Asimismo, la primera Junta Administrativa estuvo conformada por: Gilberto Mora Chinchilla., Adolfo Godínez C., Francisco Sánchez C., Rodrigo Fernández A., Belcebí Rojas R., Freddy Camacho.

Para el 2007 se inicia la construcción del gimnasio al igual que una cocina.

Uno de los puntos altos fue el convenio con el ICE para la instalación de INTERNET en forma gratuita para que los estudiantes realicen sus actividades que los equipara a cualquier estudiante de las áreas urbanas.

Al finalizar dicho periodo se gestiona la ejecución del plan de infraestructura.

Para el 2014 se plasma el proyecto de infraestructura que se iniciaron las gestiones desde el 2007 y que durante estos años se les ha dado el seguimiento y ejecutando todos los pasos que exige DIEE.
